Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ProxyProof attendance service, mobile applications, or developer APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable university academic integrity statutes. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access the platform.
2. Academic Integrity & Anti-Proxy Prohibitions
ProxyProof exists to preserve academic fairness and truthful attendance records. Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Attempting to record attendance on behalf of another individual ("proxy attendance" or "buddy punching").
- Transmitting, sharing, or intercepting ephemeral cryptographic nonces to facilitate unauthorized check-ins.
- Binding multiple student accounts to a single mobile device or utilizing emulator environments to fake Bluetooth hardware signatures.
- Attempting to jam, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or amplify Bluetooth Low Energy signals to forge RSSI proximity values.
Any violation of these prohibitions constitutes a direct breach of academic integrity and will be referred immediately to the University Disciplinary Committee and Academic Dean.
3. Authorized Role Privileges
Faculty Members: Instructors are granted administrative rights to initiate, supervise, and finalize attendance broadcast sessions for their assigned classes. Instructors hold the sole authority to approve manual attendance exceptions or override hardware disputes.
Students: Enrolled students are licensed to submit cryptographic presence tokens strictly from their registered mobile terminal while physically present inside the designated classroom during active sessions.
4. Intellectual Property
The ProxyProof brand identity, shield trademark, BLE protocol implementations, API designs, and source code are the intellectual property of Aayush Srivastava and licensed institutions. All rights reserved.
5. Limitation of Liability
The software is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. In no event shall the author or university operators be held liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages resulting from network connectivity outages, hardware malfunctions, or disciplinary outcomes resulting from verified proxy fraud attempts.
